Please give us a short summary of your website?
Heritage offer investment management services to private individuals, businesses and charities. We specialise in the creation and management of bespoke investment portfolios, group pension schemes and IHT mitigation. We also offer a non-advisory service on our website which substantially discounts the cost of collective investments.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
We were inspired to fill a gap in the Uk marketplace for a good quality, informative discount broker website. This allowed our clients with investment knowledge to take advantage of the large discounts we could offer on a non-advisory basis. We have now expanded the site to make it more of an investment forum, where clients can control the content of the material that we offer and, to some extent, choose what products they wish us to add to our range next.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
In 2000 we launched an exisiting client only purely transactional website.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Heritage Financial Services is the name of our Independant Financial Advisory Service which has been running succesfully offline for some time. We wanted to continue that branding on to our website.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
We believe that Heritage Financial Services site is most in touch with its users. We are trying to offer our clients the opportunity to get involve with us at every level- determining our product offerings, choosing what articles they would like to see and participating in regular feedbacks to ensure we are getting our site right. We hope to bring interactivity and interpersonalism into what has been a sterile industry for far too long.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
We hope to secure a more sizeable proportion of the existing marketplace and evolve most effectively to meet the needs of the consumer in years to come
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
We have just completed an massive overhaul of the site so the money invested is disproportionate to the current success. We hope to have resolved this imbalanced by the end of the second quarter
