John Bogle, founder of Vanguard Group, says the most long term investors should be in stocks. Yet he owns more bonds about two-thirds of his current portfolio. His investments are at the conservative stage in his life.

In investing, you should know and understand you tolerance for risk, readjust your portfolio if volatile and down markets cause you anxiety.

It is one thing to be a long term investor... however on myinvestorsplace.com today...members feel there is a change... nothing like they ever went through... what do you suggest for a long term investor... thank you in advance

The shareholder is the bond issuer goes broke. They will pay back the money for you as a bond holder before they pay to their shareholder. Stock and bond have a tangible value that you can grasp and visualize.

There is a lot of money to be made from stocks and shares but the only hitch is nobody knows a sure fire way of a method. Let us now see some of the basics of stocks and shares. You can earn money in two ways by investing in stocks and shares.One is trading and the other is investing.
