Please give us a short summary of your website?
DTI provides expert stock, futures and options trading education both in person and online. The school, located in Mobile, Alabama, has been ranked as one of the top ten trading schools in the U.S. and provides in-depth courses at all levels, as well as proprietary trade signal software, live trading seminars nationwide, a daily chatroom and afterhours trading call, and numerous publications and educational resources.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I am a professional web designer who runs an ad agency that specializes in financial branding and advertising. DTI is one of several clients that I have in the trading industry.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
My first web site is one of my own sites: http://www.janefirst.com, which is a showcase for my fine art work. I have an M.F.A. degree in Fine Art. janefirst.com features my paintings and drawings, including paintings and drawings of basketball players that I have created during the past 10 years, completely live, during games, while the players are running, leaping, etc., without the use of photos.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
dtitrader.com has been the name of the site for several years. The company became my client in July, 2007, when I was asked to do a total re-design of their site. I launched their new site in November, 2007.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
DTI is unique as a trading school in that teaches its students how to understand and trade global markets, round-the-clock, and to understand how these markets key off of one another. The DTI Trading Methodology, developed by DTI's founder, market expert Tom Busby, is based on three critical elements: Time of Day, Key Numbers (support, pivot, resistance), and Major Market Indicators.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
DTI is highly successful already and is continually growing and expanding its course and product offerings. When I re-designed the site for the company, I also built a new storefront section and goal for this is to have it become another significant revenue stream for the company.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
It balances well!
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would add more streaming media.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
It is becoming big really quickly, and the company already has staff in place to handle it.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
I am proficient in SEO techniques, and I have successfully integrated SEO into all the sites that I build. All of my clients have numerous top listings on the major search engines.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
It hasn't.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I have run this site since July, 2007. The site is enjoying big traffic gains and it will continue to run for many many years to come.
